Frankly, we can’t stand to see nothing but yet another pre-rendered cinematic trailer. Can they do it? Well if they have, say, a playable demo for KH3 or FF7R at the convention this year, it will help. Without a line-up of major releases, Square-Enix will have to keep the hype up for their big name titles for years. But according to a recent Square-Enix briefing, we won’t see much content until after 2018. We might seem some new Final Fantasy XV DLC, perhaps we will see a playable demo of Dragon Quest XI or Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. So what will Square have to present at the show? Unfortunately, not much. Recently, it was revealed that Kingdom Hearts 3 and the Final Fantasy VII Remake might not see the light of day until 2020. And with breaking news of a possible roster leak bringing less than ecstatic reactions from fans, Capcom may be in a position to do some damage control. Who else is joining the roster? What new Infinite Stones will we be able to use? Will its story mode be able to compete with Injustice 2’s?Į3 2017 might be the difference between MVCI being the fighting game hit everyone thinks it will be, or following in the footsteps of Street Fighter 5 as a fun but overlooked hit that only appeals to the hardcore crowd.
E3 2017 GAME LIST ACE COMBAT 7 SERIES
With the release coming in such short order and so few details revealed, Capcom is likely going to drop an info bomb on this new VS series installment at E3 this year. Expect the Capcom booth to be filled with pro-gamers coming from all corners of the globe to try out MVCI’s new gameplay. If you look at Capcom’s E3 line-up this year, it’s mostly unannounced games and MVCI. One of the biggest fighting games of the year is coming out in a few short months, and yet we know almost nothing about it. Are arcade style shooters here to stay, or will we fall back on the FPSRPG, open-world, and military shooter trends of the past? 2. The answer to this question will shape the shooter genre for the near future. Between Call of Duty WWII, Destiny 2, Quake Champions, and rumors about a new Wolfenstein, Red Dead Redemption 2, Crackdown 3, and even a new BioShock, the shooter genre will be stacked with big name titles looking to dethrone Overwatch from its 30 million + user throne. The shooter space has been clearly dominated by Blizzard’s Overwatch over the last year, but that’s not to say that other shooters aren’t willing to complete. What great games will we see debut this year? Who will win the console wars? What will this mean for the game industry’s future? Let’s take a look.
